Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Stat Support, LLC ("Stat Support," "StatSupport," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website statsupport.org (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who We Are
Stat Support, LLC provides forms and coordination tools connecting Sports Information Directors (SIDs) and schools with statisticians for sports events. We are based in and operate for visitors in the United States.
2. Information We Collect
The Site is designed to be lightweight. We only collect what's needed to route your request or interest to the right people. Depending on which form you complete, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- School or organization name (if applicable)
- Sport(s) and event/game details (for coverage requests)
- Availability, travel range, and general experience or interest information (for statistician forms)
We do not require you to create an account or log in to use these forms.
A note on RefTown: For deeper contact and personal-data management (such as ongoing scheduling relationships), we work with RefTown, a third-party platform. Any additional personal information you provide through RefTown is governed by RefTown's own privacy policy, not this one.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information submitted through our forms to:
- Match SIDs/schools with available statisticians
- Contact you about coverage requests or interest submissions
- Route your submission internally to Stat Support administrators for processing
- Maintain records needed to operate the coordination process
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How Your Information Is Stored and Shared
- Database & hosting: Form submissions are stored in a secure database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS may process and store data on our behalf as our infrastructure provider. See AWS's privacy notice for how they handle data.
- Email: When you submit a form, a copy is emailed to you (as confirmation) and to the relevant Stat Support administrator(s) for processing. Once sent, those emails are retained according to each recipient's own email provider and personal practices — we don't control or set a fixed retention schedule for individual mailboxes.
- RefTown: As noted above, RefTown may separately receive and manage contact information for ongoing statistician/SID relationships.
- We do not share your information with any other third parties, and we do not sell it.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We do not currently use cookies, analytics, or tracking tools on the Site. If we add analytics in the future (for example, to understand site traffic), we will update this policy to describe what's collected and how, before doing so.
6. Data Retention
We don't currently have a fixed retention schedule for form submissions stored in our database. We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill coordination and staffing purposes, and we periodically review and remove data that's no longer needed. You can request deletion at any time — see Section 8 below.
7. Children's Privacy
Our forms are intended for individuals age 16 and older, consistent with applicable state and federal minimum working-age requirements for the roles described on this Site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to ask questions about how it's used.
To make a request, contact us at support@statsupport.org. We'll respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
California residents: You have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no "Do Not Sell My Info" opt-out needed at this time.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide, including relying on AWS's infrastructure security. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may reference or link to third-party services (such as RefTown). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — please review their own policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as our practices change (such as adding analytics tools). We'll update the "Last Updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
